Surely you’ve encountered this situation before, a web feed that only gives you an excerpt (or no content at all) or a web comic that doesn’t give you the comic in the feed? Feeds designed by folk that haven’t moved into the 21st century (it’s a pity this includes the like of Penny Arcade of all people)…

Well… I just found a web application called Readable Feeds. What this app does is it takes a feed URL, then follows the links, scrapes the content and generates a new content-rich feed. It’s pure awesome.

Random: Scrubs is awesome.

The fall of the Australian dollar caused a major price rise in DVDs. Then recently the prices all rose again (despite the lack of another drop in the AUD).

Thus ends my 23 week run… buying one DVD a week (sometimes two!). :’(

Ballad of Serenity

(my, I can be replaced with us or we if you want – probably better that way)

Now for a nerdy and musical (and bored) moment:

Take my torrents, take my sites, you’re trying to take away my rights.
I don’t care, I’m still free, you can’t take the web from me.

I’m gonna fight, take it back, clean feed (can shove it up its arse). (faster, maybe bleeped :P ).
Independents/Liberals, you’re still free, you can save the net for me.

(instrumental)

There’s no place, we can’t be – now we’ve got the proxies.
You can’t take the net from me.

*cough*

Thanks to this post bringing to my attention the fact I could use my WHS setup, I’ve avoided having to reinstall Windows XP on a certain PC in my house, used by family members that got infected by a trojan.

PreOS, quickOS, PreCloud? MEH.

Someone coin a term for this trend of mini-Operating Systems concentrated around a web browser, and generally integrated into motherboards. (e.g. Splashtop)

I like The West Wing *and* Buffy. What kind of crazy person am I?!

Devaluing the Australian Dollar and raising the prices of a lot of stuff I wanted to buy (from electronics to DVDs… BLAH!)

It just plain rocks. Yeah, I don’t post anything meaningful. Ever.

Starts at (100/100) (physical/virtual) memory use. Not really good to just use a music player, and… if I decide to sync my iTouch once and add 3 album tags; memory usage soars to (250/150). This is not new to iTunes 8, it’s been similar for aslong as I’ve had iTunes.

iTunes is goddamn evil.

It’s totally awesome.
